For the renovated Tropicana Field, the Rays updated their SkyDeck seating area and wanted an energetic hand-painted mural that celebrated St. Pete. We combined the iconic Skyway Bridge with a surrealist quality inspired by Salvador Dalí for the composition, and included stingrays and graphic elements that nod to the namesake of the Tampa Bay Rays.
A vibrant portal
The mural creates a window into a cloudy vista focused on the Skyway Bridge, with devil rays flying through the composition and breaking out of the frame.
