Working with the Justice Studio offered a creative opportunity for us to get back to our roots with the perfect blend of graffiti, education and mission. Understanding that the young people participating in this programming are all too accustomed to symbols of authority, we used the concept of a badge as the foundation for the logo and accompanying designs, but with an empowering twist. The redesigned badges feature graffiti lettering with educational symbols like a pencil and stars. The youthful images feel cool and approachable with just the right tone of seriousness.

The Justice Studio operates in-house art programs for youth in detention centers around Tampa Bay. Like the Justice Studio, we firmly believe all kids should have access to art, especially disenfranchised populations. Greater Public Studio was honored to take on this passion project and bring the program’s visual identity to life.
