Gwan Massive

The artist collective Gwan Massive came to Greater Public Studio in need of a visual identity to match the musical identity it has become known for. With an eclectic mix of sounds ranging from jazz to reggae to hip hop, the group wanted to create a cohesive, comprehensive image that could represent the diverse collective. Inspired by the roots of reggae and the island of Jamaica, the logo pays tribute to the Lion of Judah, a central symbol of the Rastafari movement representing strength, pride and African sovereignty. The green, red and yellow color palette pays homage to the Ethiopian flag.
